Default H-D Security/Alarm on 2016 Road King

Hey guys can I purchase this at the dealership and install it myself or am I opening a can of worms here? Does it require programming that I wont be able to do or is this just straight forward plug and play. Thanks.

You can get the HFSM from the dealership and install it but there is a password learn proceedure, not sure if it is the same one as the TSSM (which takes 30 minutes if all goes correct).

Find the part on the HD website. They always have the installation instructions available there.

Yup - go to the Shop tab, enter your bike details and you should find the correct kit.

Default Security Siren Chirp installed by the dealer, now this.

Just picked up my 16’ Road King and now when the brake light comes on so do both rear turn signal lights and they’re amber and I think it looks stupid. Is this right? Did the dealer install the wrong BCM? Please Help!

Change lenses and it would look right. . . Not sure if there is a way to shut off the BT function of that BCM, if not then you got the wrong one.

I did change the lenses after talking to H-D Milwaukee and they confirmed I have the correct module they said I probably have an additional module that enables the turn signal lights while applying the brake and they suggested changing the lenses as well, because some owners are buying that module so the have more brake lights.

Sounds like your motorcycle has the Auxiliary Brake Light/Running Light/Turn Signal Conversion Kit.

This one would only be brake/turn as there was no mention of the running light being on.
