CANBUS sportster dual headlight wiring question
The application will be on a 2016 sportster. I have 2 12V 35W headlights that I would like to mount up. I do not know what the stock headlight used in watts and because the bike runs CANbus, I cannot track dow a fuse to make sure that I am not running too many amps.
I'll only have 1 running as the low beam, and both running as the high beam. My idea was to have both headlight grounds running to the harness ground, then, 1 headlights power run to the low wire, and the other headlights power run to the high wire.
Running both on with the switch set to high beam would be 70W. Would this be too much on the wiring? Or does the BCM handle it correctly?
I have no turn signals if that lessens the load in any way.
