Default LED tail light works, but not LED brake light.

I purchased a 04 low rider that came with an aftermarket LED tail light. The tail light works, but the tail light(brake light) doesn't get brighter when i apply the front brake, and when i apply the foot brake, it hardly lights up. Someone recommended me to get a load equalizer to fix this issue. However all the load equalizers i'm seeing are for turn signals. Which is the correct one to buy? Will that even solve the problem i'm having?

Load equalizer will not solve the problem...it could be wired backwards...switch the two wires and see what happens...

I would confirm one of two things first - does the light work properly? You can check that with a 12 volt battery. When you operate either brake is there 12 volts on the brake light wire?

Does your bike have CAN bus and does it report brake light failure? If so then you need a CAN bus compliant light.

Okay so my brake light is operated by a pressure switch. it does light up but it's barely noticable. All connections seem grounded and in place. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you have the brake light and tail light wired backwards:

Brake light circuit should be sending power to the bright filament, running light circuit should be sending power to the dim filament.
