Default Proper trickle charger?

My recently acquired '07 Road King Classic apparently drains juice when sitting. Ten days in the garage and it's dead. So three questions...does the Smart Siren II alarm drain the battery and is this video a good idea for daily trickle charging? What size trickle charger should I buy?

Don’t use a trickle charger! Use a batter tender such as this:

Battery Tender Junior 12V Charger and Maintainer: Automatic 12V Powersports Battery Charger and Maintainer for Motorcycle, ATVs, and More - Smart 12 Volt, 750mA Battery Float Chargers - 021-0123

If it's in the garage, plug it in.

I only use a trickle charger if the battery is totally dead.

If the battery is going dead in 10 days, you don`t need a charger....

You need to have the battery load tested and the charging system tested.

If both are good, perform a parasitic draw test.

If I jump the bike from my truck, how long would I have to ride it to fully charge the new battery? This assumes there is no other issue causing a battery drain. All my riding has been on puffed rice and never experienced this problem. Now I'm riding MERICAN so I need to understand the differences.

You shouldn't need to jump a new battery at all

+1 on this. Been using battery tenders for years on multiple recreational vehicle batteries for winter or extended storage and never had a problem.

Realistically, you have a problem with your motorcycle though, and should as previously mentioned investigate it, battery, charge system, parasitic drain.

We'll see. The speedo, alarm, cam system, etc. all have a memory and are constantly drawing on the battery. Let the bike sit a spell and those things can kill a battery. I jumped it today and ran it for a few hours, seems to be holding the charge okay for now...we'll see what happens in the next week (hopefully the charge holds)...then I will plug in the tender.
