Default Top End Issues

1999 Ultra with 42K.
So I replaced my cam chain tensioners. The top end was pulled off so the push rods could be removed. No there's a whole bunch of racket from the top end. Pulled top end off again and fixed fallen rocker. Now again there's a lot of noise up there when the engine gets hot. Is there something else going on that I'm missing?

You do realize the intake and exhaust use different length push rods, correct?

Clarification: I didn't do the actual work. My buddy did the breakdown and reassembly. Shop did all the bearing and cam stuff. My buddy has been rebuilding HD motors for 30+ years.

What did your buddy say about it? 30+ years experience and did the work, he would be the person to ask. I was going to say its the pushrods, but sounds like you re-used stock ones so no adjustments to be made.

What senna mentioned is my guess right now.
