Think I will stick with OEM cranks after Hobanizing.................

we`ve done this in the past,works very well.we machine a .248" hole thru the pin & the wheel,then press in a .250" pin.works very well (been doing this on drag lower ends back in the day before actual "race" parts were available)

The polygon shape you see in the wheel is the wrist pin. It is totally ground and basically is a press fit into the crank wheel of the crankshaft shouldered on the inside. Being so huge, it is only about .001 press. That smaller plug with company logo is a press fit plug of about .001 press interference fit into a blind hole in the wrist pin on the front face of the wheel. It tends to increase the overall press and retains the wrist pin while the polygon which is already pressed in, does the driving.
The original test bed was proven out in the owners 120 Harley.

2, .250" hardened dowel pins pressed on the seam, 180 degrees apart from each other, on both sides of the crank, does work very well.

Just hours after post this I talked to Terry Stewart again. We were talking the day before about that price."$3800- 4250" I won't go into the conversation But he told me he talked to his Partners and they decided Set the price at $2600 for twin cam A motor and $200 more for the B.

wrist pin??? how about crank pin

terry is a fellow racer in the same class as our team,he`s a stand up guy,a long time friend and will take care of you if looking for one of these lower ends
