Thank you all for the great input. I have never been told you can pin an evo crank, maybe that is what I need to look in to. We are doing another build so this will help a lot. Really strange that I have see 2 1997 and 1 1996 in the last year with twisted cranks. The 97s had 60000 miles but the 96 only had 31000. Wonder if these years had inferior cranks from factory.

My '94 Evo shifted the flywheels & it was less than a year old. .021 runout measured at the pinion shaft.
