Question How the F%$#.....

So I just started tearing down my Wide Glide, (doing a thorough rebuild) and came to the part where you take off the cylinder heads. With the amount of space given, how in great Zeus' butthole are you supposed to torque them down when it's time for reassembly ?! I should mention it's an 82 shovelhead.

If you're doing a total rebuild, why don't you have the motor off-frame and on stand/bench? Full access all around...

OK, I must be missing something here. There just isn't enough room physically to get a torque wrench and socket on those bolts. I had to modify (grind down) a wrench just to get them off.

switch the bolts to allen head. just try to use standard bolts on big bore jugs, the bolts won't even fit much less wrenches

Snap-on. Just remember to keep them at a 90 degree angle to the torque wrench handle. They're spendy, but a must have when torquing heads still in the frame.
