2013 103B died while riding
First off, thanks for reading this and to all that comment.
Your help is greatly appreciated !
I bought a used 2013 Fatboy Lo in early 2015 and had no issues with it, other than the rear turn signal relocation kit (installed by the previous owners dealer), never wired them back up.
But a couple weeks ago, I was riding when the top end started knocking like crazy and the oil light came on.
I nursed it home and since I had recently switched to synthetic oil, I dumped the fluids and went back to V-Twin 20-50.
Rode for about an hour and the same thing happened again.
This time, I bought a Fueling oil pump, sending switch and gasket kit, then installed them and rode it again.
MAN that bike sounded so smooth and nice!
Just when I was ready to call it cured, the knock came back hard, the throttle sounded like the bike was "Bogging out" and wouldn't respond to input, other than sounding like it was flooding the bike.
Just as I pulled the clutch in, it back fired and died.
Trailered it back to the house and code U0100 came up, "Lost communication with ECM".
No sign of lost fluids, the bike starts and immediately dies.
Cleared code, disconnected and reconnected the battery and same result.
The bike starts and dies just as fast.
Where do I begin ???
