Default 2007 96” to 110”?

I did a search and really didn’t find anything. I just got a new to me 2007 96” Ultra Classic. It runs ok but i’m a power nut. Can i jusy buy the SE 110” tire sheader kit and it work? Ok, i know that i will need a tune, intake, exhaust, and maybe some other small things. But does it all bolt up without machine shop work? I know i can go to 103” but for the $$ it doesn’t seam that much more to just get the 110” kit. Thanks,

not sure if crank cases need boring for the 110 on that year of engines. pretty sure they increased the hole size in crank cases in the later years of the twin cam so no boring was required, always thought case boring was required for even my 2009 year. some of the engine builders in here would know for sure, max headflow ,, prodrag, scott from hillside.

No case boring needed to go from 96" to 110".

Springers4ever,

Thanks for the link. Wow, big numbers! Ok, maybe my pockes aren’t deep enough for that kind of power. Thanks again.
Thanks everyone else for conferming I can go to 110” from 96” without machine work.

I guess at this point I need to decide if as my daily ride its better to build as a 96”. 103, or jump to 110.”

your welcome ...but you should thank Dave for his post ..!!!
No matter which way you go ...high compression ...big cams ..etc...or just a bump in compression and good low end cam ...what matters in either case ...is the correct head work and the final tune ...with any build ....
if you do a 12:1 compression motor ...and no head work ...and can't tune it properly ...guess what ...it won't run as good as the stock **** you have now ..!!!
good luck ...!!!

The biggest bang for your buck is increasing the CU by moving to 110. Buy the jugs and pistons and drop in a new cam. That should make 100-105 HP without headwork. Should be about $1,400

cyclerama 570-2 would be a great torque cam for the drop in 110 kit with stock heads, bet you would get close to 120 torque and close to 100 horsepower with a good tune.
With Harley-Davidson 110 drop in kit at 10.1 or 10.2 compression.

That 570-2 would be my choice for that combination as well. I think I would stay at 10:1 or slightly below, though. CCP is going to be right at 205 at 10:1 and I wouldn't want to go any higher than that. Even 205 needs a good tune to work well.
