Be advised, the following is ENTIRELY an opinion of mine:

I personally believe synthetic oils will maintain viscosity longer than dino oils, but dino oils are "slicker" and have better sticking abilities to what they're trying to protect. This is personally witnessed by an old Harley tech showing me a neat little demonstration. He took a drop of Syn3, put it on the head of a hammer, then on a highly glossy black painted surface he let gravity pull the hammer down onto the surface while he slid the hammer head back and forth about an inch for about a minute on the painted surface. Then right next to it he did the same thing with dino oil. After wiping it clean and shining a light at an angle to show reflection you could see very fine microscratching from the synthetic oil, none from the dino.

So, I use GTX in my engine, the cheapest 75W-90 in the trans, and ATF in the primary.

It's not so much dino vs synthetic when it comes to reducing noise; however, oil weight is more a factor in that regard. I have read that synthetic runs cooler than conventional but having run both, I saw no difference. I have read that synthetic will improve fuel efficiency but having run both, I saw no difference. I have read that conventional runs quieter than synthetic and having run both I have noticed that 20W60 conventional runs quieter than 20W50 synthetic; not apples to apples and an anecdotal comparison but 20W60 conventional does it for me, year round, in south Texas. Just using basic shade tree logic it would seem that the heavier weight oil stays on the surface longer and as well as for lubrication but would also have a dampening affect on any noise from surfaces making contact. JMHO, no science.

Update
Doing the work myself since I can't find reputable places around me Gettysburg pa area. Checked tensioners last night. Outer was fine. Inner is shot

Wear looks weird on the inner one with the step in it?
Heres what I'm planning. Cut pushrods and use s&s quickies. Replace inner cam bearings with Torrington. Purchase heartland inner bearing tool.
http://www.heartlandproducts.net/hea...m-bearing-set/
Install Andrews tw21 cams. The cams do not come with roller bearing correct?
https://www.jpcycles.com/product/432-766/andrews-tw21-camshafts
Purchase roller bearing 433-234 from jp cycles and use heartland tool to install roller bearing on cam.
http://www.heartlandproducts.net/199...installer-set/
Replace shoes with cyco and use this tool for pins.
http://twincamtensioner.com/product/...lacement-tool/
Install Arlen Ness big sucker and rejet slow jet to 46, keep stock main 190 and install two #4 brass washers on needle. Should get me close for now? I have Vance&Hines straightshots and will upgrade to a good 2-1 in the future, install dtt ignition and get a proper tune around next year.

Questions
Any other specialty tools other than what I have listed?
Any orings or gaskets needed that don't come with materials above? Oil pump orings?
Can't decide between Andrews 21, 26 or s&s 509. Leaning towards Andrews 21 though.

Thanks for everyone's help! Ride on fellas. I'll be on my Sportster for the time being

You will get opinions on cams. I'm sure you have already read up on them here. You may get opinions on lifters/tappets. I would put in new lifters/tappets. So... here's my opinion... I'm happy with S&S 509 and their tappet set.

Since you mentioned J&P, here's the link.

Oil pump o-rings. Go slow and come here every day.

I like the Jims tool for the dealing with the cam tensioners https://www.jpcycles.com/product/910...tensioner-tool

Not truly necessary, I have done a few before I got the Jims tool, but it is sure nicer.

Ordering parts soon. In key West on vacation at the moment.

Two things. Still debating Andrews 21 or 26. I weigh 150lb and it's a Dyna. 50/50 2up

Debating on if to change the lifters or not. Some people say yes some say no. If I do, which brand lifters? Keep seeing different preferences.

So far:

I'd go with the 26 for your application.

That's what I'm thinking due to my weight and the superglide weight I can get away with the 26 (and possible future big bore). I usually keep it in the 2k-3.5k rpm range though. I'm not looking for sound but would there be a sound difference at idle between the 21 or 26? Can't wait to order this stuff and have it waiting for me next week!

What orings for oil pump? So far I have (1) 11293 and (2) 11301 for cam plate passages
