Default To pull Rockers or Not (Cam upgrade)

Hey yall.

I am in the process of sourcing all the extra parts to go along with my cam upgrade. I have a set of @fuelmoto adjustable pushrods and SE255 cams that I am going to be installing. The question is, do I just go ahead and pull the rockers and do the Rockout inserts and install the pushrods that way or do I leave the top end alone? I can do either and just wanting to see if anyone else has had that debate?

Pull the rockers and do the rockout inserts. Change umbrella valve and filter element. Can't go wrong with a new set of gaskets.

Might even benefit from a thinner head gasket on reassembly.
Don't forget to drill the oil drain holes under the breather assemblies to 1/8"

Agree with all above but I didn't read that the OP was pulling heads but if so, ;030" head gasket wouldn't hurt either. .Rocker Lockers can't hurt, cheap and a quick install. Replace the head breathers with the stamped units that replaced the earlier units in 2012.

He didn't. Just figured this would be a very beneficial reason to pull rockers and then go one step further.

If you were pulling the heads anyways you might as well keep the stock pushrods. One less thing to worry about adjusting. That’s what I did. Also +1 on the Rock Out inserts. Definitely worth it.

Well....just an update. I did end up ordering a top end gasket set and @ROCKOUT Rocker Products kit. I am going to do the full change and keep the stock pushrods. I am now trying to find an inner cam bearing tool to rent/borrow. I can only see me using it once and the cost doesn't seem to justify buying it.
