2017 Limited spun crank bearing with 13K miles

2017 Limited spun crank bearing with 13K miles
Out for a five day ride and crank bearing spun and motor junk. Dealer said oil pump probably failed. He would not be sure until pulled apart. Suggested not to waste time and just put a 131 crate motor in. A few questions - 1. Do I have any recourse with HD or is that a waste of time?, Dealer can install a liquid cooled crate motor for $8,400, + head pipe, + HP clutch and fluids (call it $9K), 3. take to a perf. shop and do an S&S HP custom built motor at +/- $10 K or sell bike with junk motor for $9 to $10K and buy a new bike.
I remember there was a sump pump issues with the M8 engines for a while but they sorted that out.
Not much info on web about crate motors but any insight is appreciated.

Wmbailey5 sorry to hear of your troubles. What motor, mileage, condition of paint, type of wheels and what color of bike? These all come into play when valuation..

rockford fosgate amp 4 channel with 100 watts per and RF speakers
LRS windshield and chrome band

Before I'd spend another dime at a Harley Dealer I'd ask what improvements are made to a 131 to avoid engine failure? Crank bearing failure is an issue since Harley Davidson stopped building engines with tapered bearings.
