Default Backfires sputters
2002 fxd stock engine idles good runs good up to 3,000 rpm then just statrts popping and backfiring.

Seeing as how this is a twinkie bike do you have a carb or EFI?

AS also said before me
It's not enough gas -- or to much air
I have even seen 2 warped manifolds
At that 3000 RPM is right about where the main jet starts to kicks in with max fuel , you do not have enough gas for the RPM
