Default torque cones in 883 spoertster, evo varb, adding 1 3/4" drag pipes.

I have a 2003 HD 883 Sportster XL Custom Anniversary. CVO carb.with stock slash pipes with crossover pipes...the enlarged slip on tips have a weird looking like "Fin" inside about 10"s or so that aims back toward heads. I don't know what they are called...some kind of flow restrictor. I am switching to 1 3/4" drag pipes. QUESTION...Simple...Torque Cones or not?...I have a moderate amt of blow-by...Will torque cones help performance?...Will they help blow-by?

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. There's a similar current question right here, which you should read through!

Thanks so much. I was really wondering about the torque cones question, though.

I run drag pipes with torque cones and I would NOT run them without the cones....sooooo I'm a believer in the cones.

Good deal. Finally someone answered my dang question. Thank you. I'm waiting on then to come in. Your motor sounds like a monster. I'm going on a toy run with my club this Saturday. Thanks again...and keep the rubber side down !

You could do a compression test and see where you're at,maybe the oil level is too much,I keep mine half quart low.
