Default 96 and later controls on 88-85 bike

I am finishing converting my FLHS into a a FLTC. Does anybody know what is involved in switching out the handlebar controls from the 88-95 style to the 96 on style? Will the master and throttle clamps still fit like stock?

I switched over on a 95 model softail and you have to change both throttle cables. I also changed hand grips, can't remember if I had to but I did. When I bought the new style I got a chome set from ebay that came with clutch and brake controls as well and the new switches had to be wired in under the tank.

The catalogs show the brake master to fit till '95, I'm not sure if its a different bore after that or what. I put a set of chromed '95's on my '87 and the switch wiring is a little different since they use a signal module already by then and not a flasher. I had to run another power up to each signal switch since the '95 shared power for the switches.

The master cylinder bore did change in 96 but you can get the new style controls with the old bore size.
