Does anyone know if a new set of switch controls with switches and wires from a 2010 touring will work on a 1993 FLHS. I want to change out the contols including the brake and clutch controls also. Thanks for your input
I've been looking into that because I want to swap my 95 fatboy switches, I don't seem to find a problem regarding the swap whatsoever, BUT I don't know if the new touring switches will work in your case, since they come with the cruise control and other stuff too...
this is what I want to buy http://www.demonscycle.com/Handlebar...-p8546916.html
the switches are kind of universal since their job is pretty simple, as far as connectors go, u could get a compatible type in a hardware store and just swap, or u could join the old wire with the new...
as for the brake cylinder, I have read it works, just have to bleed the system and it's a direct bolt on...
u do have to be carefull however, not putting a "single disc" master cylinder onto your "dual disc" system... u won't have sufficient brake capability as the dual need more volume of fluid for the two discs, however, u can install the dual disk system onto the a single disc with no issues...
best bet, new touring controls, as u will know for sure they work with dual discs

Reason: just read some extra info
I put 96-up switches on my 90 Heritage, the pins are different(smaller) on the switch harness and there is one less wire too(6 wire harness, my original had a 7 wire harness), they fed the signal lights from a pig tail up at the switches so I had to clip that and run a wire (green)from the the connector to the signal switch and splice it in to the pigtail I clipped. The color coding is a little different too but easy enough to figure out.
It was easier just to splice the switch harness in rather than have to change the connectors and possibly the main harness.
My '90 doesn't have self canceling signals and uses a Wagner flasher instead of a module, but I think they would have to be adapted the same way.
