Not sure what you mean by mounting tabs.Where the mufflers mount?

Yes, there are brackets on the frame for the mufflers and the tabs on the mufflers mount to that

If you look on the parts diagram for the 1997 FXDL muffler part number and then on the parts diagram for the bike you want to put the SE mufflers on and the mufflers have the same part number the SE2 will work.

Hey, Can. you post up pics of the system laid out on the floor and also one of the inside of the muffler? I'd like to see what type of baffle it has. Thanks.
