I must say for the amount of times that you do remove your tanks does it warrant the possibility of more leaks. One of those things that's user choice..or preference. No big deal here...but if I did it would be the metal chrome ones.....
In my case I realized replacing the hose is a lot cheaper than the link and less risk of leak. The two vice grip trick I posted earlier was the hot tip on this issue for me.

There has been a lot of talk about leaks from the Quick Release hose/pipes. No one has said that they actually had any problems with leaks on the Plastic or Metal Q.Release hoses.
Just sayin.

On BMWs there are numerous reports of leaks, and even fires with the plastic ones. It's not that they leak, but that they crack, and then leak, under pressure.

Mine leaks a drop or two but that is it.
It beats the hell out of what I was leaking before.
Back in the day when fuel injection became the norm with chrysler (middle 80's) and a lot of the quick disconnects were plastic, at the fuel filter and fuel rails and I do remember time to time the leaks so i'm not really a proponent just careful....Give anything the opportunity and it will....
