Must have been post-'72. Only zippers permitted were lace-in zippers, Viet Nam only. Unless he was Air Force, those guys had A/C and refrigerators.

I was given a pair with side zippers (had laces, too), and really like them. Much easier for an old fart like me that doesn't bend over so well anymore.

I'll second that. I went with the 9.5" high boots as well. Would be a biatch if I had to lace them up every time. Just a zip zip and I'm out the door. I went through and tried many different brands of boots before I settled on the Harley boots I have now. Turns out they were the most comfortable for me. And the style is like no other.

And back on the subject of being discriminated against. That really blows!!! I count my blessing that my local Harley Dealer has no issues whatsoever about working on my EVO. Service Tech and sales personnel are always as helpful as they can be.

Didn't they take in a soldier with asthma and turn him into the Super Hero Captain America? I just don't understand!

Must have been after my time.
I have never seen a pair of Navy boots with zippers.

After you have worn these boots for a few years then laces on those short boots are no problem at all!!

You say find an indy. About 8 years back the local dealer bought out 3 indies since they were taking so much business. As for tire mounting the Honda dealer always has the best price and will mount for free if I bring it to them.
