Default been away a few years, may come back

Hi, I've been away for a few years, sold my 94 softail classic 3 years ago, been riding my V rod an picked up an TC electra glide. E glide got too heavy an bulky for me an now I'm looking at a Fatboy for a lower seat height an lighter weight since my body is breaking down on me. I don't remember the details of what to look for an what year is better an such but here's a few candidates:

1990 asking 5K: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5198858194.html

1996 asking $5795: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5204595185.html

a 97: http://www.cycletrader.com/listing/1...-Boy-115542983

a 97 I know his bottom line is $5500: http://www.ebay.com/itm/331639581561...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

the '90 is tempting because I think I can get it for around $4500-4700. If the second one, the 96 would go 5250 I'd jump on it.

Not sure how I'm going to like going back to a carb after these lazy years of just hitting the starter an going.

thanks for any input.

Hey LW,

I blew up your rear drive speedo cable, lol !
I like the 1996+ for the digital speedometers and the rounded switches but that is a bunch of personal preferences not rooted in anything but.
Good luck with finding one!

I agree Owtlaw that Hypercharger would be gone so fast. Now you guys have me thinking about trying to get the 96. There's a 97 on cycle trader with an adrews cam, so I assume the cam bearing has been done an V&H exhaust.

what year did EFI start on evo's an is it OK or crap.

Man, you guys are lucky. Up in the frozen north you need at least 10K to look at any bike that's not a POS. 6K for a fattie is unheard of. Trying to talk pops into gettin his own bike, this inspires me to keep lookin stateside. Cheers!

get the money and go and get the 96 before someone else spots it
