brake light problem

Please restate the problem. Lights are on when a motorcycle is running ever since around 1978. In other words, there is no turning them off.
When you squeeze the front brake lever, does the brake light illuminate? You should see it go from being lit to being lit much brighter. If not, then you need to look at the bulb or front brake light switch.
Do the same thing for the rear brake. It has its own brake light switch.

You need to check the ignition switch with a meter.
