Little update... put 150 miles on yesterday, hit the reserve at 125 but that wasn't reasonable because of all the idling and tuning I was doing the past couple days...

Rode with my brother in-law and his friend. Both Street Glides, one a 103 with upgrades and the other an M8 114. Let me tell you even with my wife on the back neither bike had a chance.... we only did a roll on in 3rd gear but enough to know who was were in the chain of command..... LOL.... Definitely a great feeling..... Overall it might have felt like it was a little too rich so I dropped the main to a 74. Waiting for the rain to pass before I can get it back out....

I honestly believe this is the final build.. I am very happy with the outcome.... Time to Ride........

You know if you take a S&S 124" mill and flow the heads with a 640 Woods cam it will rip you face off during a throttle roll on. Just imagine a engine that could easily gain 3 horsepower over the one you have

said the same thing except I get pulled in different directions. 62 years old and build more now than 10 years ago. But projects keep rolling in.

All of this crap came out of salvage yard and needed saving in last year. The 2010 soft tail only one hasp not finished. It's I friggin disease!!!! Back on EVO AFTER a couple Subaru timing belt jobs this week.

Did a little more tuning yesterday..... I took out the 74 mainland put the 76 back ins well as the T-jet. Took out the 105 and put the 120 back in... For those that don't know the T-jet takes Mikuni jetting.

Question? I'm trying to change the main jet rpm range with the external air bleed. I have used everything from a 140 through a 200 mikuni jet and never could see any difference in my Wego readings. What gear is best to use to monitor the change? I do know that when cruising in 5th its too much of a load on the motor between 2500 and 3000 rpm to make any difference... Should I try 2nd or third gear..... A little help would be appreciated... Thanx Bob........

AND.......The projects never really end... You just move on to the next one.......

3rd gear, do a slow increasing to a full throttle roll coming close to the limiter, run another third gear from cruise range to hard throttle close to limiter.

4th is getting too fast to look at the Wego read out, deathwish.

I didn't have to make any T jet adjustments, Sachs already knew what T jets was close in my engine, had to richen the main some but it is set up at 12.6 for peace of mind

Thanx bagger i will do the 3rd gear roll ons and go from there....

Question? when your cruising say 65-70ish in 5 gear and your tach is reading 2800 + or -, does your AFR go way low to like 10.8-11?

No matter what build I ever had in this bike mine always did and I thought it was the transition to main jet causing it but every thing I did with the external Air bleed never changed that...

One thing I found out as you mentioned a while back was where you motor was happy, according to the Wego. Which I believe you said 12.6-13.2. I tried to lean mine out from those numbers and the ramp decreased dramatically.... Running 13.2 is great for the down low....... And at this point I'm not to worried about mpg..... I think I get more smiles per gallon than miles... LOL....
