I went through a similar issue with my 1990 ZX7. Had it 25 years and it was mint.
But I stopped riding it years ago and the longer it sits I figured the greater the chance of something happening to it. That would mean I'd have to put money INTO it to get it back to its original shape.
Cosmetically or mechanically I just didnt want to take the chance and sold it. I regret it but less that I would if I had to dump money into it at this point.
I feel your pain.

Interesting, I was planning on packaging with a bunch of extras, tins, dual front brakes and disc, back brake, seat, detachable back rest, original cv carb, service manual and owners manual and a couple of other things, I’m leaning towards keeping it, if you wanna send me an offer for it all let me know, I haven’t tally’d up a value on it all yet.

If the offer is for more than the bike and he want's you to send the rest back, someone hijacked Oldskewls account.

I guess you need to ask yourself why you want to sell it? Want a new bike, don't ride much, want something bigger? If you decide to keep it now, and 4 months down the road want to sell it again, you may miss your opportunity to sell it to Oldskewl if he makes a reasonable offer? Let him make you an offer, you have nothing to lose.

Edit: is that a RK in the background? If so guess that throws out the bigger bike need.
