I see Evo derby covers with three screw holes where mine has six. I see Evo timing covers with two holes where mine has 4. I want to replace the shifty spray painted cam cover but I keep seeing all different sorts. Are they individual by model?
What gives here? I know the Sporty Evo were different, but mine is not a Sporty Evo. Can I use a three hole Derby cover or a two hole timing cover?
You need the same type of derby cover you have now. Your timing cover is probably 6 screws into a plate that has 2 screws that goes into the cone. Or maybe 2 screws and 4 fake ones. Take it off and see.

The timing cover is 2 holes. The cover he was using had 4. My mistake...
Only 3 of the screws on the derby cover work, the other 3 are fake ... the screws to take off and put on are the ones at 12 O'clock, 4 O'clock and 8 O'clock positions ... I have the same derby cover on my E Glide
The first time I tried to take that cover off, I was saying some unkind things about the previous owner, as I thought he had stripped out half the screws.
I felt like an idiot when I got the cover off and found that only half of the screws were real. The other three are like rivets with a screw head on the outside.
