Pull the lens off and do them from the front side of the dash. 4 plastic clips that can be seen in the little square cutouts in your pic. Pulling the rubber socket out will likely result in that 20 year old rubber socket tearing.
Using a piece of fuel line to remove the bulb makes life easy. Push the fuel line over the bulb(little spit on the line might help it slide over), then pull out.

Thanks for the help.
A small awl on the clips and it pops right out to reveal the bulbs.
Man I hope you didn't break your lens. They come out from the backside.. That's a rubber weather tight socket.. With a par of needle nose players you can pull it out.. It comes out a little tough but they come out and to put it back in just put a little Vaseline around the lip and shove it back in Hope you didn't mess up your dash lens... And while you're at it put in some t-5 LED bulbs..

If you gently push the clips inboard the lens slides right out through the top side, giving you access to all the bulbs, no need to remove the rubber socket.
I guess it can be done either way.
Thanks for the tip on the bulbs... I’ll do a search!
FYI, once you have the bulb out , check it for continuity.
Some times its not the bulb that is bad, but the clips in the plug that are not making contact to the bulb tombstone wires instead.
In my case, had to squeeze them a little bit inwards both side, then make sure that the tombstone wires on the bulb was engaging both clip sides. Also, little dielectric grease in the plug before you install the bulb, help to condition the rubber on the plug, prevents the build up of corrosion on the wires and clips, plus works as a heat transfer paste to help prevent the clips from heat popping back open to loose contact of the bulbs wires again.
