Question saddle bag help

what does it take or what do have to do to put saddlebags from a 1985 flt and put them on a 1988 flhtc anniversary new doing this thank you

They should be a direct swap unless a previous owner changed something. Many times you can find answers for finding which years share common parts by looking at the fitment guides for suppliers like Dennis Kirk or JP Cycles.

I agree with Rizzo the battery did not move to under the seat until 1993 IIRC

They both use the same mouldings, with a few minor differences of things like the ribbed trim around the lock on the earlier ones.

Good to see you back, Tups. Yeah, besides the lock mechanism and maybe the front hook on part, they are about the same.

Thanks for your greetings chaps. The road to recovery is proving to be paved with pot-holes, so I'm making slow progress. It may be a while before I feel fit enough to wheel the Buell out, let alone my Glide. Fingers crossed! I have just completed cleaning up thousands of old emails, which I have ignored in recent months, so I am at least paying attention once more.
