Default Fatboy disc wheel

One of my mates bought a rear disk wheel, from a EVO Fatboy.
He intends to put it on his '86 FXR.

I will add more pictures as the work progress.
As You can see he has deleted the fake rivets and begun to smooth the rim surface.

FYI, when running a Timken bearing rim in lathe between centers, pull the center bearing support sleeve and shims, so the you have the bearing drawn up tight against the races with no play, or just use live centers on the races themselves instead.

The problem with the leaving the shims/center sleeve between the bearings, is this ends up with with free lash of the bearing in the .006" range side to side between the bearings and races, and when you take that pay out to the end of the rim on the X axis on say a 18" rim, it compounds like a monster.

Hence on first light pass, it may not have been the rim that was that far out to start with, but rather the free lashing caused by the shims and center bearing suport sleeve to the bearings itself, if they where still in play.

By yes, not a fan of fake rivets on rims, and it faced clean, looks a lot better instead.
