You meant a 1990 FLH?

Aha! Now I understand.

Well... you already own a great bike in the FXRS-SP and if it's in god condition there should be buyers willing to part with $$$ for it.

So if this change of bikestyles is what awakes your interest then go for it I'd say.

With all respect I find life is to short to ask strangers for their opinions in these kind of matters since you are the one going to live with it, not them.

No, instead show us some pictures of your present ride and the one you are thinking of.

I sure wouldn't trade an FXRS for that,I think you'll really miss the FXR.(ask me how I know)
Older baggers are a dime a dozen, keep the FXR and just buy one.

Off the top of my head, and assuming both bikes are in reasonable shape, I'd say I'd want a whole bunch of hundred dollar bills, in addition to the bike, if I was going to trade a 92 FXR for a 1980 highly modified FLH.

Thing is he could get a decent Twincam bagger for what that FXRS is worth with a 5 speed and rubber mounts and more power, light years nicer touring bikes.
I sold my 2000 Electra Classic for $6000,it was high miles at 200K but everything gone through and a fresh 103" build.
Had to let it go for what I had in the engine alone because of the high miles, new owner called me a year later after getting home here on the west coast from a ride to Sturgis and still loving the bike. FXRs are reaching cult status with those in the know and fetching good money.
I had one for 10 years and always regretted selling it to pay off the 2000 which I bought new.
20 years later I have a 2019 Electra and have picked up an FXR project bike which I'm excited to get finished.
