Default Dynatek DD2000-HD1E(8)P

Got my other issues resolved so now it's time to move to the next upgrade.

I've followed the instructions very carefully. According to the instructions this is a 'plug-n-play' item for my bike. Being a 'duel fire' system the instructions tell me to skip over the single-fire page The GREEN light came on ONCE when I first turned things on, as the paperwork says it should.. I am getting no spark at all but the RED light on the back of the module blinks as it is suppose to.

So I read thru the instructions again. This time I read the page about 'single-fire' systems that it told me to skip. In this section it also states "The blue wire is left unconnected. The green wire is for the tach and it's use is optional on dual fire applications."

Anyone have any info or experience with this module? Am I missing something that's right in front of me?

Both the trigger and tach wires on original harness are pink and attach at the (-) side of coil.

On the new module, the green wire must be attached directly to the factory pink wire that leads to the tach and neither of those should be attached at the coil, as original. The pink wire from the module is the only one connected to the (-) side of the coil.

I wonder why the instructions say this is only for 'single fire' applications? I really don't feel like taking the tank off again LOL.

I've wired quite a few but never tried leaving the factory pink tach wire on the coil and and the Dyna green un-hooked. Can't say what that's do.

If the green Dyna module wire is connected to the (-) of the coil it can damage the module, according to the instructions.

Draining the tank is the dreadful part of pulling one. Chalk the rest up to education.

Here I sit, broken hearted.
Tried to sh*t but only farted.

So aside from plugging this thing in, the only other wire to be connected is to:
1) disconnect the pink wire from the coil (that goes to the tach)
2) connect this pink wire to the green wire from the module.
Basically, the GREEN wire from the Dynatek unit goes directly to the tach.

The schematic is VERY simple. I've successfully troubleshot automated transfer switches for 750kw generators and blueprints for 150 unit apartment buildings and now this thing is kicking my ****! LOL

If you're running dual fire don't worry about the blue wire connector.. just plug the dynotech in and connect the green wire to your purple VOES wire and you're all good to go. Set your dip switches to
1) off
2) on
3) off
4) off
5) off
6) off
and it should fire up... Later if you want the blue tach wire then go for it..

Hotrod did you wake up, get out of bed before breakfast?

Purple wire is voes on factory harness and module harness. Green wire from module is tach only, connects to pink going to tach. Pink from module is trigger for rear on single fire or (-) on stock coil for dual fire. Blue wire front cyl with single fire only.

I know you know all this. I figure you didn't have your coffee yet.

This is the same schematic that came with the module. The most simple schematic I've ever seen. This is exactly how I hooked it up and still no spark. I've had other sets of eyes take a look at the schematic and the actual installation and all agree everything looks right. All three of us have come to the conclusion that it's a bad unit.
