Default 1997-98 carbed bikes

what "touring" models were available with carburetors?
were all the Ultras & Road Kings in the 97-98 yr model FI?
Heritage were carb?

kickin tires on some and not real fond of what I hear about the FI of those years.

thanks

I think FI was introduced on the touring bikes first. Don't believe all the bad things you read about it! We have an expert in here who can work miracles.....

I believe all the Ultras starting in 1997 came with EFI.....with the Classics and Road Kings EFI being an option.

1995-1996.....EFI was an option
2001....Last of the Magneti Marelli

Not a bad system....Before you touch that system, make sure you know what you are doing. It's not a foregiving system when you start guessing....

Magneti is crap. Even Ducati dropped them. Get a Delphi FI or go carbed. Sure, some people can make an MM work, but it isn't worth the constant effort.

97 Ultra Classics were available with carb or EFI. 98 Ultra Classics were EFI only. I was skeptical about the EFI and had planned to convert the 98, but after riding it for awhile, it looked like it would be a step backwards.
