Beyond the Law...
Not what would have been my first choice, but seeing it on your tins, I think it looks pretty sweet, in a semi-retro sorta way. Looks kinda 80's.

Well I ordered all the parts to finish the bike out. Still haven't got my tins back due to some peeling issues that had to be addressed. Hoping to have it on the road by this time next month. I'm ready to see it all together.
I apologize for not posting any pictures on this thread or responding. I've been pretty tied up since I started this thing. Last year my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and we've been fighting that fight for the past year. I'm actually typing this in a hospital recovery room and will be here for the next week with my wife as she's just had her double mastectomy done. I got on here looking at a cam thread and realized I hadn't been on in months. As it sits right now the bike is still not finished. I ended up getting the tins back painted solid black with an explanation that no one at the shop was skilled enough to complete the job without the radius' in the scallops peeling?!? Either way, by the time I got them back my wife and I had already started this journey and everything else was put on the back burner. Once she has made a full recovery and things get back on an even keel I'll be putting more time and effort into finishing that 99 FXST and I promise I'll keep everyone interested posted and updated with pictures.
By the way, if anyone knows a great painter in the Houston area who could tackle this job I'd be indebted to you for the lead and money isn't an issue if the quality of work is equal to the wage. Thanks to everyone who has posted on here so far and I hope not to disappoint in the future. Keep the rubber side down!!!
