68 and 70 SS are my favorites. Cages nowadays have no sex appeal.

Both bikes are nice. I especially like the Softail.
I don't know why, but I can't warm up to the TC engines. I will keep my 95 Heritage forever.

Long Live Evolution!

Holy crap... That sure was a nice SS you had. You'll have more fun with the bikes for sure, not to mention more use out of them 'cause if something is wrong you WILL be able to fix it. But Daaaammmnn what a nice SS.

Lived in I.B. for a couple of years back in the late 80's. That is one tough town to ride in. I have NEVER seen so many blind car drivers in my life. NEVER! I would wait for red lights between cars not to get the holeshot, but to save my life. How many times I would be waiting behind a car at a light and some dumbass wouldn't realize that there is a red light and then plow right in to the car in front of them with me getting out of the way at the last minute because I learned to live in my rearview mirrors. By far the scariest for bikes town, bar none.
I did love the Ratskller in Imperial Beach for their 99c pints and some of the nicest HA guys around with way tricked out scoots and Stoney's independent HD shop on Palm are they still there?

No?
NO! That spyder does nothing for me, especially when compared to a vintage muscle car. It's probably fast with tons of gizmos, so are metric bikes and they don't do anything for me either.

Glad to see that I am not the only one trading off a vehicle to go HD. I would have never bought and HD but traded a full blown rock crawler jeep for my softail. Now I admit there is just something about the HD's. I miss my Jeep but dont regret it at all. Like you Malibu / SS there were lots of things that needed attention that I just didnt want to mess with anymore. Love riding and have already put a ton of miles on the bike since I got it in April!
