Default Tube Question

Hey Guys,

1995 FXDL. I had some work done to the bike a few weeks ago...I was just out getting out to ride and I noticed a few things so I figured I'd ask and try and see If I'm nuts,

From under the center console on the tank on the left side there is a clear tube coming out from under it and it looks like it connects to some sort of check valve right at the left neck. I never noticed this before, any clue what it is? The reason I saw it was the it looks the the leather piece that sits under the gauges and the gasket for the gauges isn't sitting right. I will take it back to the indy that did the work next Sat but I figure I'd ask the experts first

Thanks

That's your fuel tank vent tube.

Thanks,I just never noticed before and it is very pronounced. It just doesn't look like it routed correctly. Plus the rubber seal for the console isn't closing at the front. Are theses seals hard to change?

It sounds like it wasn't seated properly. If your Indy removed it, let him take a look at it.
