Default Changing Primary oil

I'm not gonna star another "oil debate". I'd just like to know:

1. Is this the "normal" color for ATF to look at 4K? I thought it was a bit on the dark side.

2. Will any ATF work (since that's what I'm putting back in her) or are there types to avoid.

3. Does anyone else feel better when all 3 holes have new fluid in them?

that really doesn't look too bad

if it's stock clutch, the harley lube is pretty good....others swear by a good 10W-40 or good ATF Type F

i use ATF type F because i'm running a Barnett clutch and that's what they recommend

From what I read here and then in my manual, lots of people must feel good when the fluids are changed because many do it way too often.

Default Would anyone care to go over a primary fluid svc and belt adjustment/inspection?

Don't look over the question above but, would anyone care to go over a primary fluid svc and belt adjustment / inspection?

I have a 92 FLHTC and I know it sounds elementary but I've never done it. I know where to drain the fluid and I know (or...I think) that I have to remove the derby cover to fill it back up but I don't know exactly what to check or adjust when I get the cover off. I'm also not sure how to fill the fluid to the proper level.....do I just pour it in until it nearly runs out?

Are there any additional things that can be checked or adjusted while the fluid is drained? I don't mind going a little further into the unit if there are some things I can check. My bike is 20 years old with 63,500 miles and I ride it about 100 miles daily. I'd like to have all the knowledge and pointers I can get from you guys so that I can make it last.

If you plan on working on your bike yourself A Harley Service manual is invaluable.

It won't answer all your questions but it is a great source of information.
