Default The top end is out!

And so it begins. The heads came off along with everything else today. Still waiting for most of the new parts going in while the heads get ported but since Traildog will tell me this thread is useless without pictures, here you go.

top end, heads ported and flowed, putting on a 44mm SE carb with flow matched intake. Nothing extreme but I'm milking everything out of the ol Evo that I can without compromising reliability. cam, breather and ign module already done.

Seems everybody and their brother has a thread about this lately. I guess it's that time of year. I can't wait to see everyone's results. Mine should be done sometime in the next few days and my seat should be done at the end of the week.

Fine job with the pics! I'm particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the motor......

TD only you would see a table of bike parts and say "My aren't they clean!!!!"

I was thinking the same exact thing, the bike is clean but from some of the parts on the bike you can tell the motor may not be 'virgin'. This tappets look newer than 1996 to me.
