I suspect a D would be a lot of carb for a road bike. I know of a UK rider who highly tuned an S&S 124" and ran it with a G for the road and a D for the drag strip - when it delivered over 160HP - he wouldn't admit to just how much!

@brad75raiders yes I have the infamous R1 carb that will be coming off soon, I'm gonna slap a 48 Mikuni on there and see just how good it'll do.@ grbrown the D carb has been my choice from the beginning Because this will be a "Bar Hopper" and i really just want it to be a reliable one at that ill admit 160hp is a definitely admired, these heads will be sent to one of the best really soon I'm getting anxious I look at the motor everyday in the garage wondering how it's gOnna end up and what kind of power it will make

I have the slightest idea I'm open to all offers, and I'm in Temecula Ca. So shipping fees will be minimal!

I looked long and hard at a hsr48...but since I already HAVE an S&S G, doesn't make much sense to buy ANOTHER carb.

that being said, my 124" monster is under warranty for 2 years....so any big plans are on hold for the time being. once the warranty is up, however, she's getting shipped to XXX Carbs down in Texas, going for the full TAZ build ('cept 1 thunder jet instead of 2....actually already have the thunder jet sitting in the toolbox)

Hey man in the menifee area and was thinking about the 131 from jireh cycles. I was wondering if you'd give your opinion on the motor?
Thank you

Sure after I upgraded all of those parts and got the motor tuned it ran like a bat out of hell..... I didn't have any problems out of it I eventually sold the bike to a friend of a friend who to my knowledge still is having a blast on it! Mind you I put another 3k in the motor though I should've just bought the cylinders/pistons,heads,cases,flywheels from jireh but they never seem to have any of that in stock so instead of waiting I just bought the motor

Ok I appreciate the response. Did you replace the lifters, rods, and rocker arms because you had trouble with the ultima ones ?

Search for 1997bagger on this evo forum. He had some issues with his Ultima 127. Ultima was very friendly with parts however.
