Default New FXR project

Well this has been sitting in the back room for a while, so I figured I had better get it out or it will never get finished. Custom FXR frame with a 200X18" rear and a 21" front tire, 58 mm inverted front end. Belt drive primary with an FLHT tranny so no oil bag is needed, that should clean up the bike a lot. Dual 4 piston brakes on the rear and single 4 piston on the front, so stopping shouldn't be a problem. Engine size will be 120"+( no replacement for displacement), Total seal rings, 11-1 compression max, depending on engine size. LRB Racing header, and possibly Nitrous.
Looking at candy apple red with "ghost flames" inside the ghost flames either skulls or devils faces of different sizes to give the impression of depth. That's all I can thik of right now. Just waiting for some of the weird bits and pieces I've ordered to come off of back order!!!
John

FLHT trans is a great idea. What are the advantages of inverted forks?

Stiffness, rigidity, and they look cool.

That is going to be bad *** and are you going to use a sprotor setup as one of the dual disc rear brakes (like one in each side) or two calipers on one bracket?

"Misfit" nailed the reasons for the front end, plus it was on sale!!! We are in no hurry with this project and are trying to buy everything we can on sale!! I am using a dual bracket for a softail which we are re-machining to fit our custom application. We went with two headlight assemblies because it seems that no one is doing that at this time!!!! Still haven't decided on turn signals (yes we use them but to make them as cool as possible) but the bike will have them for safety reasons!!

Cool. Those front ends are nice. I'll wait and see on the bars and dual headlights.

Dammmmit John!

I totally loved your bagger build, the one with the open belt drive, and now this. Forget about your paying customers and just focus all the shop's time and resources on this one. I swear Jasper is gonna build an fxr one of these days even though his fresh 124 ain't even broke in yet. This will get him thinking.... haha
