Ramblin, They (HD) would prefer to sell you a new speedo with a new motorcycle wrapped around it. Planned obsolesence.

Get on Craigslist and do a search for the area/ state you live in for "Harley parts". Extend search area until you find one. They are there.

Well, realistically, manufacturer's can't support products forever. We're all riding stuff that's closer to a museum than a showroom.
