Yeah I guess it is. I'll chew on this for a while. I'll have to decide if it is good enough or spend another few hundred bucks for another Carb. I will say this though, the Mikuni sure is sweeter on delivery than the stock Carb was.

I've had 4 different Carbs on my RK and yes the Mikuni does feel much more superior then the S&S and the CV40. You might want to check out ebay, I bought mine on their for $269.99 shipped to my house. You will have to pick up a mainifold also, yours won't work with the 42 Mikuni. Do you still have your stock Carb & Mainifold? If so buy some new gaskets and use the stock mainifold with the 42 Mikuni and it will be like riding a different Bike. You WILL feel the difference as soon as you wack the throttle.

Hey cwilks I see your running the Dynatek ignition. What is the 32B curv? Is that a special map you have for the ignition? I'm running the Daytona Twin Tec with a Map that I've been tweakin with. But on real hot days like today I'm getting alittle ping at 2900 RPM when I wack the throttle hard. I've been looking for a fix but havent been able to find one without having problems someware else. It's alittle frustrating at times.....

With the Dynatek it gives you like 36 different ignition curves to choose from (a,b,c) levels............32B is the curve that works the best for my build. I started at 36B but that was too much advance for my current build (read pinging) so we backed it off till it ran the best (32B), these are all canned maps that came in the unit.

9:1 compression might be a bit high for the 21 cam, if you want torque down low the 45 mm carb is way too big for low end throttle response on low end (velocity will be low at bottom end)

Save some money stay with your stock pistons, install a 26 cam, use a 40mm or 42mm carb. This will give you more bottom end torque than what you listed and cheeper.
The above statement was good advice...
