Default What baffle is this? V&H Pro Pipe end insert

Hey,

Just bought a 2016 Dyna FXDLS. It came with a Vance and Hines Pro Pipe and I'm trying to remove the baffle because it sounds like **** and super quiet, but it looks like it has some 3rd party end insert that I can't remove. They usually just pull out, or I'd use an slide hammer but there isn't really anywhere to insert it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated before I put on some vice grips and bash the **** out of it.

That I believe is the Vance and Hines optional quiet baffle. I once had a V&H Pro pipe on my softail. I bought and installed the quiet baffle and hated the sound, so I put the original baffle back in. The part that is sticking out is part of the baffle and is welded in place.

You remove the baffle by removing the two allen screws that are located at the 6 and 9 o'clock positions on the muffler (looking into the pipe). The baffle should slide out with the end cap. The quiet baffle has packing around it so it might be holding the baffle in place. A little pb blaster and a slide hammer should bring it out fairly easy. If that dont work I would remove the muffler from the head pipe and use a block of wood to knock it out from the inlet side.

Thanks for the reply man, you are definitely right. I since posting ended up taking the whole end of the exhaust off and had to smash it out from the narrow end. It had definitely been in there for awhile, the matting was all melted to the pipe. I hate the sound too so I'm hopefully going to get the standard ordered for it.
