screaming eagle street performance exhaust
I'm considering to buy and mount them on my FXDC'07, does anyone have them ?
How much are loud ? Is the internal baffle removable? Or there isn't a baffle?
Could someone, please, post a picture of them showing the internal ?
I'm asking because they are not imported in Italy...:-(
Thank in advance.

RE: screaming eagle street performance exhaust
If you are refering to 80490-07 or 80491-07 then I can help.
Surprisingly they are very close to the same volume (sound pressure level) as the stock mufflers. But the sound is a much lower tone. A DEEP rumble. Reminds me of my Oldsmobile 442.
Here are the audio levels that I measured. This is not a definitive audio testing. I did it for comparison. The measurments was done at 5 foot above the ground (ear level), 8 feet from the bike and was measured in 4 locations. These measurements were averaged although it wasn't needed as the sound level remaind the same throughout the room. The bike was not moved between tests. The exhaust was changed where it sat.
RPM STOCK SE Diff
Idle 74dba 74dba 0
2000 88dba 89dba 1
3000 90dba 92dba 2
4000 92dba 93dba 1
I do not like loud and that is what surprised me when I rode a rental that had the slash downs on it. I put them on my 07 Ultra and have had a grin on my face since then. I do not hear the exhaust above 40mph. If I kick it down a gear and twist it open it produces a deep throated growl (not roar).
