Default air cleaner and remap only

OK, here's the deal. I like my Ultra to be quiet. I don't want aftermarket loud mufflers. I paid good money to get a radio on my bike and I want to hear it. BUT..............

I understand that they are tuned lean from the factory and that the aircleaner is a bigger restriction than the mufflers. So my question is, how much if any HP would I gain by doing the air cleaner and a remap only, keeping the stock mufflers?

Would a pair of older stock mufflers be better than my '07 Ultra ones? What years to look for?

Default RE: air cleaner and remap only

You'll run cooler because of the stage I but thats about it, the stock pipes are made to keep the gases inside longer and burn better.
The newer slip ons from SE are good and they're still quiet. I have two sets and they do help, especially if you want to stay quiet.
