Default 2023 Road Glide Full vs Slips

This is my first Harley and itching to start customizing.
I am looking at exhaust now and am debating between a full system or slip on. I don't ever plan to mod the guts of the engine. If performance isn't important, do I stick with slip on? Or would I feel cheated not biting the bullet and going full ? Is there that much of a performance difference with a full vs slip ? Do all full systems need to go in for dyno/tune?
i want the bike noticeable louder, but nothing annoying to ride daily. I like deep bass noise. Any help or exhaust recommendations are appreciated.

Congrats on the new ride. I just bought a '23 ST, decided to go with Khrome Werks slipons until the warranty is up. 2 into 1 will definitely make more power but not without a tune I believe. You'll want to ditch the cat too but that'll void your warranty.

The KW are a huge sound improvement over stock. I couldn't hear the bike at all until I switched them out. I plan to get a set of baffles for a little more backpressure and to quiet them down a teeny bit.

Why do many say “you want to ditch the catalytic converter”? They don’t impact engine power for standard upgrades??

Sure, a tune helps with any engine, but it’s not absolute unless one breaks open the engine for a cam or more.

Sigh. To the post, whatever flips your switch and wallet is my .02

Had a Fuel Moto Jackpot 2-1-2 SS header put on with my cobra 909 slip ons this past winter while bike was in storage. Only reason why I wanted to ditch the cat was that the heat on my wife’s foot was brutal. Definitely helped with the heat issue. Exhaust is a little louder which I was good with. Bike was tuned and his running perfect. Had nothing to do with wanting more power in my case.

All you need is slipons. My go to brands are Khromewerks or Rineharts. Cant go wrong with either.

The Fuel moto 2-1-2 is an outstanding header. I run it. Have on 3 bikes.

That said. The stock header works just fine with just doing the mufflers and even with most Cam updates.

The sound most are graving comes from the CAM more that header and exhaust.

2023 warranty is an issue. Any system that removes the CAT will be a problem. One that moves the CAT to the mufflers and is EPA compliant is going to have a hefty price tag for little return.
Your ride your cash. Take your time find what makes you happy.
