Hi all, so I'm running V&H shorts on the 1200 forty eight that are chrome. Would really like to go black, but instead of spending all the money to replace is there just some black heat shields to place over? I don't see any at their site, what about from Harley themselves? And I have thought about ceramic as well. Ideas? Thanks all.

 

Your pipes already have heat shields, its possible you can buy black ones from V&H to replace them, but its probably cheaper to get the ones you have coated black.

 

I had short shots on my Nightster and I paid $125 to have the shields powder coated, but that was five or six years ago. Looked like they came that way when I picked them up.
