Default Best cam for stock heads?

Still haven't decided on a cam. Seems like SE cams are not the best from what I have read. Here is my build 95 CI 10.25:1, V&H BS stag.,Big Sucker intake, SERT. Stock heads. Bike is 2003 FXSTi.

Which cam would be a good choice? I would like to see 90 hp 95 tq or better. Is the Andrews 44G a good choice?

Thanks

10.25 with 44cam is 195ccp. That's high compression and will require a good tuner or it will ping. But don't assume that you've got 10.25 compression just because that's what the piston is rated. Have you measured the dome volume, chamber volume, deck height, etc? If it's really 10.25 I might move up to a cam with a 44 to 46 degree intake close.

Suggest bite the bullet and get you heads blended. Should cost about $300 for the labor. Then go with something like a S&S 575 cams.

If you don't do the heads, I wouldn't spend the money on cams.

I agree............send your heads to Big Boyz Cycles in Augusta, ME and have them port/polish, valve job, cc, and mill for a CR bump........all for $395

Then go with the Woods TW-6G cam.

Woods cams work good, as do the HQ 0034 cams.

I think I would wait on a cam and do some head work and cam at the same time &get the Full Monte!

I'll add to the pile, we have the new RR525 bolt in cams and if you add the gear drive and cam plate/ cam cover you will turn it into a torque bike, good linear power, end wet sumping, oil airation issues, pinion shaft whipping, noise, and oil pump scoring.

Not sure of exact comp ratio. It is the SE 10:25 kit. Is anyone using the 44G cam with good results?
Thanks

fairbanks motors in johnson vt. uses them on some 95 builds. he has been getting over 100lbs. torque and around 100hpbuthe'll have to port the heads and install compression releases. ask for Drew, he will do theentire build with before and after dyno .#'s foraround $2500 using stock valve springs.can't give you the # because i'm at work right now.
