Default Evo exhaust on TC88

I've just ordered a 06 Streetglide. I have a brand new exhaust header from RB Racing for an Evo. RB tell me the pipes will fit ok on a Twin Cam motor. My Harley dealer tells me they will not fit because the exhaust port is a little different.
Does anyone know if Evo exhaust will fit a TC88?

Thanks Tom

the dealer is right. but even if they did fit it would not run right because you have different combustion chamber designs in the heads. bathtub vs d shape. The exhaust ports are different. it would run like crap and you would loose power throughout the power band. get a good exhaust like the vance and hines pro pipe. you eill be glad you did.

example 17903 - (Big Shots) Fits 86-06 Softail®*, FXSTS, FLSTF, FXSTN, FXSTB, FXST, FXSTC and Deuce ($414.95)

It depends greatly on the design of the pipes and where the bends are. Thunderheaders for example, on the Evo the rear pipe goes around the front of the timing cover and on the twin cam it goes behind the cover. I have found that most made for twin cams will fit evo's but not all evo's will fit twin cams. Does that make any sense?

What the heck are you talking about ? [sm=laughat.gif] Last time I looked the Vance & Hines Pro Pipe Part # 440-186 in the J&P BIG BOOK says it will would work for 1984-2006. Why do you think most Exhaust systems come with all the extra brackets and bolts? I take it you didn't install your Pro pipe so you didn't see the extra bracket... I'm with fxdxsteve on this one, my 2-1 Thunderheader for 1992-2006 runs pretty Damm good.

Hey Mack theres no power band on 4 strokes guy lol, only 2 strokes where you use diff type exhaust, if they fit they will work you may have carb/fuel jetting or adjustment tho from less or more back pressure.
