Hello all, new poster but not new to reading forums. Problem i have is on my 72ch there is a crack next to the oil drain bolt (previous owner had the bright idea to jam a bigger/wrong sizebolt in to stop drip,and cracked occured)and would like to know if there is something i can repair it with without spliting and welding? Ive heard alumibond? works but havent tryed it. Any suggestions would be great......Thanks

 

JB Weld works great on things like this....drain the oil...clean the area with carb cleaner....mush it down in the crack...let it dry overnite and refill....next time dont gorilla the nut when tight'nin

Sweet, That JB is the catsazz!! Crack wasnt my doing , just bought it asrestore project, lots of tinkering to do this summer.
