I just finished a build using a 2000 Buell (Sportster) 1200 motor.&nbsp\\; I replaced the igition with an Ultima ignition and the EFI with a 42 mm Mikuni 42 carb.&nbsp\\; Bike fires right up and will idle fine with choke all the way out but dies when I try to push the choke in after the bike has completely warmed up.&nbsp\\; I know I have heard of this before but can't rmember the problem or the solution.

I have checked for air leaks arou8nd intake by spraying wd40 and found no leaks.

Try adjusting the mixture screw on the carb.

 

try turning the idle screw up before you go messing with anything else. If it runs fine with the choke on and you have no leaks it is probably just not idleing high enough.&nbsp\\; dsv

 

The Miks are not really set up to run out of the box. I have not seen any that would idle at all until you did the adjustments.&nbsp\\; The carb does come with a book for set up and adjustments.
