Default welding crank

Im looking to build 124 inc motor and have had few comments on welding crank.
&nbsp\\; Anyone who has done so.Id like to know how much they move on average and how much trouble to retrue afterwards.
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I will probaly get it done from manufacture.Ill be checking true anyway and thought I might do it my self .Before the warnings start I have lots of engine building and weld experiance.Never had to true flywheels before but then Id never built a blwon motor till I did my first one.

We put 4 weld stitches on ours.
From 7-5 o'clock, and from 11-1 o'clock, both sides, on the crank pin/wheel seam.

hillside do you get much movement.from your welding this way and do you use any clamps or blocks when doing so.

We have witnessed them move a tick, on occasion. After welding, they move no more.

The "press togather" design has not proven itself to be as strong, as perhaps the folks that designed it thought they would be.
We have witnessed Harley, S&amp\\;S, JIM's crankshafts move from large power. Welding cures that.
On another note, we NEVER saw the 5 piece cranks move.
